22" Fireplace Firebox - Designer Series
The 22” Designer Fireplace Firebox is the ideal solution for someone wanting to build and design their own ventless gel fireplace. You will have the freedom to design your own custom mantel around our fireplace firebox, which is the same firebox used in many of our gel fireplaces.
This fireplace firebox is also ideal for “in wall” installations. Many customers have built the 22” firebox into their living room or bedroom walls, giving them the romance and beauty of a crackling fire without taking up precious floor space.
The ventless fireplace firebox is made of heavy duty cold rolled steel, and surface with a special fireproof powder coating, giving it the strength and beauty to last a lifetime. The firebox comes complete with the fireproof firebox, a 15” log and grate set with 3 logs, and even a free fireplace screen kit! The insert has flanges on the two front sides with several holes in each flange to attach the firebox to your custom-built fireplace. The only thing you need to add is the mantel and the gel fuel to enjoy a real crackling fire anytime you choose.
Please remember when designing and building your new gel fireplace to allow at least 1” of clearance around the firebox for safety.

CLEARANCE INFORMATION:
- 2” from the Wall and ¼” from top of insert to wood
- Make the back hollow
- Wood should not touch insert on top / sides are fine
- Our insert comes with holes and flange to attach the unit to the sides
- The bottom is ok – the insert may sit on the wood hearth.
